muffler selection

What is the best stock appearing muffler with flow of around 500 cfm ?
Must fit a 1979 with duals

I use Borla SS Turbos. Been very satisfied. Has a great "throaty" sound at idle and an awesome sound at WOT.

If you want to announce your presence everywhere you go...get Flowmasters. If you want a low rumble and not as loud, go with Magnaflow. Both are excellent and very low restriction.

I have been searching for the same. If i am corect a 2,5 inch tubing, have a flow of 550cfm. And i want a muffler who gives me the same as my 2,5" exhaust. WHY DONT THE MANUFACTORES SHOW CFM in their info. I dont care what the inlets and outlet diameter is. What matters is the flow. I mean, it would not be a problem to but a muffler with 3" outlet and inlet onto an 2,5" exhaust. As lon as it has the right flow.

What is your tube diameter????

And what5 brand is that, and what is the flow.
I see a lot of recomendations about witch to choose here, but no flow info????

I checked with pypes, their race pro mufflers flow 492 cfm, most people don't care about any thing but sound. It must be a harley thing? I have even seen camshaft ads talking about cool sounding idle, go figure
