Wow. I wish I had your problems. Mine is just the opposite and does not close far enough. One thing I did learn was that if you put the stricker too much in board, the door latch will not click the second time and the door will stick way out. So I had to go a different route and pull the stricker outwards. This allowed the latch to click the second time and the door to close tighter and closer to the body lines. I don't know if this will add any help but maybe using the same logic might work for you too.
Where is your stricker located in to the opening in the hole? More inboard or more outboard?

You may need to remove the plastic kick panel to get at the door hinge adjustment. Its been too long since I have done it to describe how, but it was well worth the effort on my old 75. It put an end to water leaks.
