B.B. Cam and Intake selection.
I have just bought a ZZ454 crate engine, and TKO 600 5 speed. The "73 I have, has a 3:36 rear, and will be running the same Hooker side mount exhaust, except that I will replace the slip in mufflers with the 2.5" high flow units. The question:I am thinking of replacing the cam with Edelbrock's 2262 model, to get my RPM range and H.P. to run from 2500-6500 RPM. Cam specs
uration@.500 I 236, E 245. Lift I 625, E 639. Lobe separation is 112. This should give me a half decent idle and vacuum. The cam is a Hydraulic Roller. It will replace the hydraulic roller that the engine came with. The aluminum heads on this engine are rated for up to 700 lift. The intake will be an Edelbrock single plane TM 1. The carb, a Holley mechanical secondary 850 double pumper, with NASCAR body.
Anyone have any thoughts on this combo? Anyone do anything similar? If so, how did you like the results?
Thanks for any input!
I guess that its probably going to be a pretty good combo. No one has picked it apart yet!
