i need to order a 140 amp alternator and need the link for the site that has the better built alternators.... like a good idle charge..... i'm suckin alot of juice with my stereo setup.....
If you're looking for 140 amps, don't buy an SI converted to 140. The SIs were not designed to be run with that high of an output. Most users that have them without problems are just not pushing them to their full output.
With your stereo I would bet you would test that new alt and burn it up after a few months. I burned up two of them in a row with my stereo and fan and I was buying the high dollar ones.
Once I switched to a CS130 my problem of burning up alternators went away.

maybe?.... should work...140 amp
What kind of bracket are you installing the alt on? If it's an SI bracket you'll want to buy a case that's clocked to 12 & 6 or clock it yourself. Just be careful when tightening the case screws as if they are over done one way or the other it will put pressure on the bearings and cause early wear.
