I'm new to the forum. Just picked up a '77 to work on and have electrical question. The wipers and a/c blower don't work. Checked fuses and they look okay. Could this be a fusible link problem? Everything else works okay? This forum rocks!

There is a main power feed (Red 12 wire coming down from the top of the page) to the fuse block from the fusible link, but if that popped, lots of other stuff wouldn't work either. There is no fusible link just to A/C and wiper, only a fuse. The scan below shows the circuits involved. Looks like both wiper and A/C are fed power from the Ignition switch to the fuse block. Check for voltage at the fuse.

Nope....sounds like a grounding problem. Run an extra ground wire to the wiper and see if thats it. These cars are notorious for bad grounds. Or both could simply be toast. It's easy to check with long jumper wires.

The ground wire for the wipers and blower is grounded by a lug bolted to the bellhousing, just adjacent to the starter. Bubba sometimes hooks this black wire to the starter (big stud). Check there first.

Thanks Guys! I'll check the fuses again and give grounding the wiper motor a try. I'll let you know what happens.

There is also a grounding post on the upper inboard corner of the evaporator housing, it is a tie point for several grounds under the hood. The wiper motor, blower, starter harness and engine ground all connect at that point. There is a black ground wire connected to the bell housing, a heavy ground strap to the back corner of the pass side head and the 2 wires from the blower and wiper that should be there.
