What's the difference

What's the difference between the '70-'76 upper dash pad and the '77 upper dash pad. I'm asking because I found a '72 dash on Ebay and I want to make sure it will fit my application.

77 upper dash pad is all by itself. I do not believe the earlier ones will interchange with it.

77s got the new center cluster and console (plastic). Center cluster is one year only and that might make a difference in the dash pad.

I think they will fit just fine its just that 77 has a smooth front edge and the others have stiching on the front edge.

Correct answer.

The 77-only pad wasn't available in repop when I replaced mine years ago...the earlier pad fits fine.

Alright thanks guys that will widen my search and make finding a pad much easier.
