Electric fuel pump Water proof ?
Ive got a 69 vet with a Holley electric fuel pump mounted externally on the right rear side . Are these things water proof. I want to take a little 500 mile trip but I am worried about issues if it rains and dont want to get stranded on a Sunday night . I never have driven it in the rain so I dont have a clue.

Most if not all external fuel pumps that are not intended for in tank use, are fine in weather. Just make sure you have a good solid ground and the positive terminal is shielded.
I have external electrics on many of my carbed cars and trucks and I drive all of them in the rain with no issues.
