Just purchased an MSD Distributor Rotor/Cap (along with the MSD coil)...anyway, the kit came with 2 different types of Rotor Bushings....one is stock and the other is "low resistance" bushing. It explains that the primary difference is
"The Low Resistance Bushing allows the secondary voltage to be transferred from the cap to the rotor without excessive heat build up"
What does that mean? Should I use the stock bushing or the low resistance bushing?....Other than the technical description above, is there a performance difference?

The LR piece is reportedly needed to keep the bushing from melting the cap with an MSD 7 series system. But, unless someone knows otherwise, I'd probably go ahead and use the LR rather than the carbon tipped piece even if I didn't have the 7... maybe the LR piece wears fast??
