Not a gearhead and have some info on what I need to do from the steering box and rag joint post yesterday. Just want to make sure I have enough info..
Basically the car handles great, feels tight around corners, but the play in the steering is obvious masking road feel and without breaking it pulls left hard. Breaking does not cause any pulling.
I do plan on putting on new tires (Eagle STs if they still make them) and will get an alignment. That may take care of the pulling left issue, not sure.
Any advice is welcome.
Thanks.
I would like to append my vette pic on my signature or bio but don't have a homepage to refer the URL or image to. Can't I just paste it?
Vehicle pulls (right or left) are usually caused by tires. Just swap your front tires side to side and see if the pull changes to the other direction. Then your new tires should correct the problem for good. Otherwise, swap the old tires front to rear and see if the pull goes away.
