headlight issues
Can anyone tell my why the low beam won't work but the high beam will. I've switched out and swaped the bulb and it works fine in the driver side but not on the passanger side.
Is this a ground issue or something else? The high beams are halogen bulbs and I noticed that sometimes the bulbs seem to take a little while to come on. Do these need to warm up to work properly?
I'm trying to get the car inspected for the season and this is holding me back.
Light bulbs, Halogen or regular do not need any warmup time. You have a ground problem or a bad wire in there somewhere. Headlight harness grounds on the pass side, kind of a PITA to get to. Pull all the lights out and inspect the connectors and make sure the light bulbs all work.
Get a can of CRC contact cleaner and clean up the connectors and a small tube of connector grease. Swap a bright to the dim side to make sure the dimmer switch works.
