Engine strumbles and stops
Hi,
1st excuse for my bad english
My Vette is a 1989 AT.
When the engine is cold it's ok.
After 40miles my engine strumbles and could stall if I drive slowly.
SES is lighting when it strumbles but there is no code except 12.
As the SES is lighting, the fuel consommation is blocked (dash board indication)
I put these new parts:
-pick up coil
-fuel pump
-fuel filter
-sparks
-cool temp sensor

If I remember correctly, code 12 is a mass air flow sensor burn off relay fault. There are two relays located just behind the battery. One of them is for the MAF burn off relay, but it would be best to replace both of them.
The MAF system sends power to the MAF wire to burn off any residue. If this does not work properly, you get the fault and the car runs like you describe. If replacing the relay does not work, you will need a new MAF (fairly expensive).
