Default TH 400 Kick Down Switch

Hey Again,

Noticed today after installing my new carb. That the gas ped does not reach the slide switch mounted to the gas. Any spacer/adapter?

Make sure you are getting WOT out of the carb when you floor the pedal. Then go to the switch on the pedal linkage, grab the yellowish/brown plunger(thats the part that contacts the linkage), pull the plunger all the way down by hand. Then simply release it letting it quickly retract back up to the linkage. The switch will reset itself up to where the linkage is. Its like a ratcheting mechanism in the switch.

My switch had a worn spot in the ratchet RIGHT WHERE I needed it to be and even reseting it would not allow it to keep contact at the linkage. I made a small spacer out of some fuel hose pieces and put them on the plunger. Now I get kickdown at about 85% throttle and its a world of difference, especially with cheesy 3.08s.
