Default Wide rear tires??

New to the forum, great source of info, thanks. I just put new trailering arms on my 69 with an offset. Anyone know how wide of tires I can put on now. I don't want them to stick out of the wheel wells, just want fatter tires that look good.

Thanks
Mike

Yesss i beat batman to it.
Try the search function...you'll find more information on wide rear tires with offset TA's than you will be able to shake a stick at.

15x8 wheel I assume. 255/60/15 or 275/60/15 maybe a 275/55/15 take the car to a tire shop where you can have the tire mounted & check for clearance.

295-50-15

They'll fit, but just barely I believe. You're using stock rims I assume. With my 275-40-17s I don't stick out, and I have 1/4" spacers on.

Hi

I installed 275/60-15 on my 68 rear on 8 " stock rims and found that this is the largest possible as otherwise the tire will hit the fender when moving upwards.( tried it by disconnecting the sping and push the tire all the way up until the T/A pumper hits the frame ).
If you have offset T/A and want to use this space, you need to get different rims that take the tire more inwards ( or different backspacing ).

Default What Size rims?

Are you going back with 15's? How about 17's on the front and 18's on the back.... 275 on the back, now we're talking!

Hi

Put some fuel into that car so the rear end sits lower.
