Help! Electrical Questions (Behind Instrument Cluster)
1 - Only some of the light bulbs in the instrument cluster work - all the wiring "looks" okay, the bulbs are new and work (I checked them), and the fuses in the fuse panel are good.
2 - There's a switch/connector with three wires (Yellow/Blue/Green) that's not connected to anything. From what I can tell from the wiring schematics in the assembly manual, it's says "to heater resistor". Problem is that I don't know where the heater resistor is?
3 - The old radio switch/connector is not connected because of no radio...this has 3 wires Black (ground), Grey (lights), and Yellow (fuse panel). Okay, stupid question, but could this be part of the problem for the some of the lights not working in the instrument cluster, or is specifically for the radio?
4 - Finally, the "Door Ajar" light on the instrument panel comes on when you turn on the running lights or headlights. Again, this appears to be wired correctly, but obviously something is crossed.
Thanks!!!!
2. that plugs into the underside of the heater control module, I think.
4. Door ajar indicator is just above the headlight indicator (at least in my '69). Apparently your headlight indicator light is in the wrong place. Move the headlight indicator light down from the "door ajar" indicacator light's slot.
Cheers,
pete

Thanks Pete...now that you mentioned the solution to #4, it seems just too obvious (DOH!). My Vette has a Bubba aftermarket radio install too, which I've tried un-doing. But, I must be missing something.
Thanks.
