Remove Muffler to change antenna?
I am assuming you have to remove the left side muffler to change the radio antenna?
am I correct in this assumption?

It can be done with the muffler in and dropped but it is easier to remove it and get some room to work.

I did with muff in place, and with no helper, at night. Many horrific words and phrases were uttered, mainly due to lack of a helper to start top piece. If you have Paul Sr. arms or hands, I would plan on removing the muffler.

Thats how I did it. You might be able to do it by removing the spar tire carrier instead. Not sure about that.

If you use the antenna to pull every thing up into position it can be done with the spare tire carrier down.

Remove the rear Y pipe and mufflers as an assembly, just behind the converter.

My mufflers are tack welded on. Had no choice but to use the antenna. If you're talking a whip antenna you can do it with the muffler in place. If your muffler comes apart, save some time and frustration and remove it.
