'76 telescopic Steering Wander

'76 telscopic Steering Wander/"loose in, tight off"
New tires, alignment and all..... The concentric ring turns counter clockwise which makes the steering wheel travel towards the chest.
Anyone have a fix ?? :chevy

I dont quite understand what the problem is. Thats the way it works. Turn the ring CC and the column will move. If you are saying that it will not tighten up and moves on its own, now that another thing. You can pull the horn button off and adjust the star wheel so that it will tighten.
