Lars, I purchased a curve kit form NAPA, $12. Went to remove the old weights and springs and the advance mechanism was rusted and very stiff to move. Purchased a rebuilt unit form NAPA $112, what a difference. The engine has pep, it idles down, and there is no hesitation on light acceleration. Must be that the old unit would get stuck advanced making my idle high after hard acceleration.
