wiper motor problems
I purchased a engine wiring harness for my '72 corvette/auto/350. I am having problems getting the wiper motor to work and need ideas where to look. I got a new engine wire harness from Limited Electric
I first incorrectly attached a black wire to the starter motor and saw my wires on the ground to the wiper motor flame up.
I corrected the problem by disconnecting at the starter motor. I also replaced my wiper motor and the black lead to ground. Still the new wiper motor is not running.
with ignition off I have: ground at green/yellow/blue plug, ground on black and ground on the housing of the wiper motor.
with ignition on and the wiper motor off: I am ground at green/dead at yellow and blue, ground at black and the motor housing.
with the ignition on and the wiper switch in the first position: I am ground at green/hot at yellow/ground at blue, ground at black and on the motor housing.
with the ignition on and the wiper switch in second position: I am dead at green/hot at yellow/ground at blue, but dead at black and on the housing.
At all times the wipers have not been put back at the motor crank. No wiper motor turn at any position.
Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's a switch on the firewall to the right of the wiper motor. When the door raises it pushes this switch. This is so the wipers will not run until the door is all the way up. Make sure this switch is being activated.
