I'm trying to get my 434 ready to drop it off at the machine shop for dyno break-in and dyno testing... When going through everything, I noticed that there was no dipstick on the engine.. After furter inspection, I couldn't find a dipstick provision anywhere on the block.. Are those blocks usually set up for dry sump systems? Is there any other way to get a accurate oil level?
Thanks! I just figured it out myself.. Those blocks don't have a dipstick provision and a oil pan with dipstick provision has to be used.. I'll check my oil pan when I'll get home.. There should be a dipstick provision.. Now is the question... How can I find a dipstick for oil pan mount?

Some high end race pans do not have provisions for a dip stick. The idea is you will have the pan on and off so much (or change the oil so often) there is not need for one.
When are you going to dyno the 434? I know nitrous is not in your plans for a while, but the dyno is a great place to work out your tunes.

I checked on the Moroso website and the pan that I bought should have the provision.. I just didn't check for it on the pan..
I hope to be able to drop off the 434 for dyno break-in and dyno tuning Thursday or Friday and it will hopefully be tested by mid next week..
I still need to plug a few holes in the intake etc. and hook up the remote oil filter as there's no oil filter provision on the Iron Eagle Block..
I will run the engine without nitrous but only because all the nitrous stuff is hooked up to the car and I don't want to cut all the wires etc... I might have the nitrous tuned on an chassis dyno later..
I still have to get a 2nd fuel pump for the nitrous fuel system.. I should receive the transmission tomorrow, so whenever the 434 is dyno tuned, I'll put the car back together.. Then I'll only need the roll cage upgrade..

I still like the idea of one BIG pump rather than two. Make sure the second pump is up to the task of providing enough pressure and volume to feed an 8 second race cars nitrous system. It is a long way from your tank to the front of your car and that pump has to overcome the G-forces and frictional issues of 15 feet or so fuel line.

The problem with a bigger pump is more amperage draw, even if you don't use the nitrous.. The relay for the 2nd pump will be activated with the same switch that arms the nitrous system.. I don't want to upgrade to #10 line at this point as it already was a pain to fit #8 line where the frame rises behind the seat..
I'll be running #8 line with a 150 gph pump (18 psi at the pump) to the engine and a 140 gph pump (also 180 psi at the pump) to the nitrous fuel supply. (through the factory #6 metal line).
That setup makes the install a lot easier. The #8 line and 150 gph pump will easily feed the engine and the 140 gph pump is more than enough for the nitrous...
I'm aware that pressure is lost due to G-forces on acceleration but with a 18 psi pump, I should still have enough pressure at the regulators in front..

I hope it works for ya, I am looking forward to see your quest for the 8's......
I haven't decided when I'll spray it for the first time.. I might wait until fall.. It all depends on how fast I'll be on engine.. The weather is insalenly hot right now and will be that way until October.. DA's of unter 3500 are hard to find during the Florida summer.. OK, I might run a 100 shot to see how the car will react but I might wait with the 250 shot until the first cooler weather..
P.S. I will have the low pressure switch on the nitrous side to be safe..
