Default Wheel/tire size with offset trailing arms

okay guys I did a search and didn't come up with much.I put a set of Vansteel offset trailing arms on my 76.Vansteel says I can run up to a 17x9 with 5 inch backspace on the rear. My problem is I am having a hard time finding a wheel this size. What size are you guys running with these trailing arms?Does anyone have pics? Thanks in advance!!

It takes a while to for people to respond. If van steel only allows 17x9 with 5 inch backspace on the rear, I wonder what type of trailing arms members who have 18,19, and 20 inch wheels.

FWIW I'm running 325/50 15's on 15x11 with 4" BS on offset trailing arms and a shortened rear spring...

I supply most of the industry with the offset arms. There are standard offsets and double offsets. There are MANY different variables when considering tire sizes and wheel combo. When I talk to people I need to find out the following:

Year you have?
Are you running a Rear Bar?
Type of Spring?
Is the Spring Shorted?
Are you running longer Spring Bolts?
Does the car have flares?
Wheel size you would like to have?

It's a 76 with a stock seven leaf spring,I would like to run a 17 or 18 inch wheel and it doesn't have fender flares.Oh yea,8 inch spring bolts.

In my case:
1979
No rear sway bar
stock spring
Spring not shortend
Standard length spring bolts
No flares
19" rear, 18" front

What type of wheel are you looking for? If it's a classic style http://www.vintagewheelworks.com/ makes a 17x9 and custom backspace is available. If you want to go to a 18x9 the choises are limitless. Almost all the major billet wheel companies make that size in a "soft lip" style.

Than you can go to a 19X10 in the rear with a 5.5" backspace and an 18x8 up front with a 4" backspace.

The problem with fitment that I ran in to was the calipers more than anything else. Gotta get some clearance away from those massive buggers to git the bigguns. Spacers or adapters obviously cure that ailment, though. I went with 3/8" spacers in the front and 1/4" spacers in the back to run 17x9 Cragar Soft 8s all round with 275-40-17. Fit and look good now.
