Hey guys, a friend of mine is refreshing his L82 motor from a 1980 'vette and is considering installing the LT1 heads off of my '93 C4.
Is this a common swap, or is it more trouble than it's worth?
EDIT: Please note that these are the aluminum LT1 heads from a 1993, not the 1970's LT-1 heads. All of the searches I did mention the old LT-1 heads...want to avoid confusion.
Is it necessary to switch to a reverse cooled design to cool the aluminum heads first?
How do we get coolant to the heads? The stock intake has a coolant inlet port, but the Edelbrok carb'd LT1 style intake does not.
Suggestions?
Thanks.

It's possible, but it's a PITA. I'd only do it if you're going to use an LT1 manifold for a fuel-injection setup. Otherwise, there are good, affordable heads that will bolt right up.
