Default Electric fan big enough ???

I am going to electric fans and my car is not here to measure for the fans. I am looking at summits fan and shroud combos http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

or maybe 2 of the others

http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...=KeywordSearch

It's for a mild performance small block.

Any thoughts?????????????????

What radiator do you have? I have a DeWitts. It's 17.25" from top to bottom. That first fan will be too tall for your radiator if it's a similar size to the DeWitts.

Now, I have an alternative. A Ford Taurus fan, same motor as the famed MarkVIII fan, but it has it's own 17" shroud.

Some have a square shroud and some have a a corner tapered off. I have one and plan on using it when my LT1 405 goes in.

It is a Ford 8C607 fan. It comes in the 91 to 93 Ford Taurus and Merc Sable.

It fits the radiator perfectly if you get the one that has the tapered corner. It's .25" shorter in height and several inches less in width. I don't have any pics but being at such an extreme angle I think a black fan will look fine.

I think that aluminum one you listed will be almost 2" too tall for your radiator.

Yeah man. The CFM rating, if I remember right, is far north of 2000 CFM at full tilt. Mine, with the tapered corner, is 21.5" wide.
