How to Build a Fuel Line Paper now available...
With the help of C1/C2 Forum member "blkblt," we have put together a great little how-to article on fabricating a bullet-proof steel fuel line for your Vette (or Musclecar). The article is complete with part numbers, a tool list, and it's packed with color photos of the entire process. Since it does have a lot of photos in it, the file size is 2.2MB. If you'd like a copy of the article, I can e-mail it to you if you send me an e-mail request. Make sure your mailbox is big enough to accept the attached file (hotmail accounts will probably not work).
So I don't plug up my employer's e-mail system with requests and mailings, send requests for this article to my home e-mail address:
V8FastCars@msn.com
And, as always, let me know if you need any assistance with this topic.

William -
The e-mail came back as undeliverable to the address you provided.... Send me a direct request to my e-mail address, and I'll just hit the "reply" button to bounce it back to you.
Everyone else, too - please send e-mail requests to the e-mail address listed here. That way I can just attach the paper and hit reply to get you right back.

Houston -
We might have a problem.....
I sent myself an e-mail from my office to home this afternoon. When I got home, my "inbox" was empty..... I'm not sure if things are working right or not with my e-mail at home. I'll check it again in a few hours tonight (Friday), but if it's still empty, I'm going to assume that my V8FastCars@msn.com mailbox has gone down for some reason.
If you have requested a copy of the article and have not received anything from me by Sunday afternoon, send an article request to:
lars.grimsrud@lmco.com
Thanks for your patience with this..... it really is a good article....

Lars, do you grade homework? :D
Actually, since the picture below, I replaced the fuel pump and moved the regulator away from the headers.

The first time I fired it up I had one leak because I had a #6AN fitting turned around with the flare the wrong way. That was an easy fix. Since then, no leaks. I also replaced the electric pump with a different one that's quieter and I get better pressure. I'm running between 4-6psi. I hope that's adequate. Should be for my little Road Demon.
I got the Power Steering Pump, Resovoir and lines through March Performance. But they are really from Mullins Steering. They do alot in the Rod industry. Any decent performance shop should be able to provide the lines and fittings. There are different types of fittings though. Some are real easy to work with and others just plain suck.
Thanks again...

78Vette-SA - I really like those valve covers. Now if it were me (yeah, I know it's not) - some nice flames, where the covers are etched, in color would look goooooood.

Jeff, although others have had opinions against them since I had purchsed mine, I bought the Holley (red Case - forget the model). So far it works great. Can't even hear it with the engine running. I had also lined all the brackets with adhesive backed rubber to insulate it against the frame.

Re: How to Build a Fuel Line Paper now available... (lars)
OKay everyone.... I think we have GO.
My e-mail was working okay - it was just slow - so I did receive everyone's requests at my home address. I want to keep this big file off my employer's e-mail system so I don't get my butt in trouble.....
We had a little trouble with the file size: This whole paper with all the photos (22 of them) included is 2.2MB in size. This made it impossible to e-mail and to receive on most home computer systems. We tried all kinds of things to reduce the file size, but I finally ended up cutting the paper up into 6 pieces and mailing each piece out as a separate e-mail. So there's "some assembly required." You just have to save all 6 parts onto your hard drive and cut and paste them all together.
If you have requested a copy and have not received it by end of day Sunday 10-28, drop me another note and let me know.
Again, make sure you send requests for the paper to my home address:
V8FastCars@msn.com
As I get small groups of requests, I'll send it out in batches.
Thanks for your patience with this!!
