fuel cut off

new locks

t-top locks (if coupe... if its a vert they'll get it if they want it)

loud alarm that is hidden... a fake is good the more time it blows the more they are discouraged

pager system (senses motion around the car and if the alarm trips it pages you

a GPS system would help if you wanted to recover it if it was stolen

i read on here that one of the guys on here leaves an empty gun case on the dash... sounds like the thief would think twice dont you??

a car cover in parking lots with a lock... lots of attention if someone is cutting a car cover to steal a car, they also dont know its a vette.

a battery cut of is another good one, two is great one in a fender the other on the battery

Hope you find some of this info help full, And welcome to the forum

Welcome to the Forum.

I would recommend the battery cut off or a noisy alarm.
Also in your area I would spend the money for Lo Jack.

If the alarm does not stop them, you will still be able to have the police track the car.

I have a Sears Security battery, while I don't leave my car too long anywhere I am not worried because the car cannot be stolen unless the thief has his own battery or it is towed.

With the high cost of glass tops these days, these t-top locks are an inexpensive deterrent to theft.

A well hidden ignition kill switch is a nice addition... Those security batterys sound good too.

I have a fake coil wire. It is the boots and the silicone jacket, but no wire. Pop the hood, everything looks right...car doesn't start.

Unfortunately, the Sears security battery is no longer an option. They have issued a recall and they are not selling them any more. I am keeping mine - as far as I can tell the problems have been in owner operation, not a defect in the battery itself...... although I did have a stalling problem a few weeks ago and didnt even think about the battery.... hmmmmm...

I would certainly recommend fuel and electricity shutoff/cutoffs (hidden). If they really want your car they will load it onto a trailer and not much you can do. MJ

This may sound simplistic but back the Vette into the driveway/garage. It is more difficult to "drag" one on the back end when the transmission is locked than to lift one from the back when the front is free-wheeling. Just a tip.

I use a pedal lock http://www.lawmancorp.com/. I don't lock my convertible. I'd rather they get in it and see there is nothing worth stealing than cut the top or break the windows.
