The new true duals will let motor exhale alot better than OE 75-up exhaust.
UKPaul is so right about the 81 dist not working right if the computer's not properly controlling it. 81 cannot advance without computer ... no/little advance means poor performance
As said, and if you're running it as an 80, you need a 80-back type distributor to go with the 80-back type carb ... having both properly tuned/curved will help too.
