I just reinstalled my engine and transmission after a rebuild (engine not tranny) and cannot get my 4 spd M21 to go through the shift patern after hooking up the linkage any tricks?? :smash:
That looks like a proteam lot! I see you're in Ohio, is that where you got your car?
Anyways, I sent this in your IM, but here it is in case you missed it.
Are you sure the clutch is adjusted properly and throwout bearing installed correctly on the fork? If your throwout bearing isn't disengaging the clutch all of the way shifting could prove difficult. Also, make sure your shift levers are all straight up and the reverse lever is forward while the shifter is in neutral. Did you try shifting it when it was out of the car?
What exactly does it do when you try to run it through the gears? Does it not go out of gear? does it only go into certain gears?
