75 Air cleaner seal
I just replaced the hood to air cleaner seal on my 75. The new seal sits much taller than the 30 year old original and the hood needs to be pushed at each corner in order to be closed. Will the new seal compress with time and allow for easier closing of the hood or am I going to have to live with this. I remember my T Top seals being very difficult when first installed but after a week the tops went on without a problem. Is the air cleaner seal a similar situation.

Most old seals look ugly but you need to train your new one to roll down all the way around and look nice. I taped it down with masking tape and closed the hood after some time and retapeing it now stays a nice shape rolled down all the way around and the hood will shut easy.
