Default Speed warning install

I'm embarassed to even ask this. Looked through my factory shop manual, didn't find anything. Tried searching, but I still can't find the answer. Where on the back of the speedometer does the white connector for the speed warning sensor plug in? Thanks.

RPO U15 - Speed Warning Indicator $11.60

Basically, you set a certain speed on your speedo (yellow needle) and when you reached that speed, a buzzer sounded. It was only available on the 67-69 model years.

It plugs in the speed warning buzzer which is attached to the back of the speedometer head. The buzzer is 1 3/4" long, by 7/8" thick, by 1 1/16", with a 1/16" mounting mounting plate with two screws attaching it to the back of the speedo head on the left side, (looking at the front of it) betweeen the two light socket holes stamped with "gray" marking above each socket on my 68 unit. Good luck, Tom

Interesting. As long as I've been around Vettes, I've never noticed those. I would have guessed that kind of "feature" would have been included on the same cars that had the 85mph speedos (late 70s & early '80s) - during the days when the speed ***** ruled the earth.

Do you (or anybody else for that matter) have a picture of this connection? Thought I'd resurrect the thread because I still cannot locate this part.

@2kbluer6: I also have installed the speed warning option in my 69. I have currently disassembled my dashboard and all related components. Since I am not allowed to post pictures in the forum I could send you these via email (if you send me your email address per pn).
