Today was the first real cold day we've had, so after I finished my emblems(thanks guys), I decided to go for a cruise to town just because, well when I went to start the car, it started idled for a second then died...so I tried again with the same results, so I had to physically hold idle up for about 45 seconds then when I let off it idled rough but brought itself back up a little, and ran like a champ for the rest of the way. I also had to do this sometimes on hot days durring the summer (or on a morning with a ton of dew)...
About 2-3 weeks ago I had a bad problem with my idle going crazy and the problem seemed to be on the choke side of the carb, but it fixed itself after I played with the idle screw and "blipped" the throttle for a minute or two...
Im half temped to box it up and ship it out to lars for some of his majic, but I don't want to send him something that doesn't really need much work(I can imagine he's a busy guy and the last thing he needs is a carb that doesn't need a rebuild)...
Send it to Lars. I was just up there today and he is always happy to help. I think his bench looked pretty clear so he should have the time. He can work some real magic on a carb. I can't wait to see what he can do with a demon carb on my BB.

Re: q-jet choke broke? (daniel77350)
Sounds like things are just a little sticky over on the choke side of the carb. You can pick up can of GumOut Choke Cleaner at Walmart and hose it down really well as a first step: spray down all the linkage on the passenger side of the carb and move it around so assure that it operates freely. If you continue to have problems, I'll be more than glad to help out.
