My 69 427/390 hp seems to run quite a bit stronger before the under hood temp reaches normal level. At normal temp, everything under the hood is hot. The open style air cleaner housing is so hot, that I can't keep my hand on it. The car runs well, does not over heat--temp gage shows about 180-210, depending on conditions. I'm thinking that a cold air induction would help. Any ideas if it would be worthwhile to install a later c3 dual snorkal air filter with hoses that run over the radiator?
