Default my thoughts

I am tabling a turbo motor for awhile.

So these are my new thoughts.

355ci small block

Weiand Xcelerator (gasket matched)
Superflow heads (190cc RHS/protopline knock offs)(ported)
Scat 9000 crank
5.7" rods
4cc flat top pistons

Probe 1.6 Ratio shaft rockers ($539 bucks, woot woot)

I have 2 thoughts on camshafts
1.) solid flat tappet - cheap and does a good job
2.) Its an OE hyd roller block so hyd roller

Here is my thoughts camshaft
Solid:

Hyd roller:
compcams XR276HR
276/282 224/230 .503/.510

I think either one will work out really well.

The other thing that concerns me. Headers. I have been told that dynomax blackjacks will work with my angle plugs, though the thought of hooker supercomps excite me as well.

If you are trying to save money with the camshaft and cast crank why are you using $550 shaft rockers ?

I am no expert on turbos but the parts you have would be good to 550HP

Why do you like shaft rocker arms? In this application what will they do that other, more conventional, systems won't?

Just more rigid, precise, and not much more expensive.
