Well I finally got around to seeing why my hood induction flap wasnt opening fully. It appears to be missing the center one of three plastic retainers that holds it in place. This is one of the reasons for it not opening fully.
So, firstly where can I source that one elusive plastic retainer? It has one on each end but its the middle one thats missing.
At the moment, the plunger on the solenoid is extending by about 3/8 inch . Is this the correct amount of extension to open the flap fully? Its difficult to see without it being secured in the middle.
The flap is opening about 1/2 inch which is roughly half way.
What do ya need I took mine out it works great just thought more air all the time was Best.
w00t! There are 3 clips that actually hold the flap in place. There is one on each end of the flap and one in the middle. Where I am pointing is where the clip is supposed to be. If you have one or all of your clips and want to sell, shoot me a PM and I will give you my shipping address...PayPal ok with you? TIA!

Thanks for that, your offer is really appreciated. I checked with GM parts and I think they are about $0.90 each so no big $$$ involved!
Hope you are feeling better soon.
