my 350 eng. has a temp. sending unit that has the round end on it.
the wire to it looks to have the original end connector, but it doesnt fit to well on the round end of the temp sending unit. should the sender have a single spade instead of a round end?: the temp gauge works but seems to register high. *****:
I'm not 100% sure about the 79, but different years had both types of connectors. The quick connect spade or the round connect. If you have an accurate heat gun you can see just where it's reading. In my midyear, I bought a repro temp gauge, and it was reading way high. The guy that works on my car was able to put an in-line resistor in to bring it to where it should be.
