Power door locks

Hey, I went a head and read through the other door lock posts but couldn't find anything helpful.
Heres my problem, my power door locks don't work on my 1980 c3. I have went ahead and replaced the window/door lock harness on the driver side and the door lock actuator. I tested the passenger actuator and it works fine. I tested the driver side switch with a volt-o-meter and it seemed to work fine, haven' got to test the passenger side switch yet. I put the volt-o-meter on the lock actuator and i get 12vs coming out of it when i hit the switch on the driver side so it seems its getting power and i know the actuator works so I'm just not sure why it wont activate when its all plugged in. Am I forgetting something or missing something somewhere? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Both switches have to be connected to complete the circuit, otherwise it will do nothing.

The grounds for both sides are in the passenger door.Make sure they are grounded.

So if the passenger side door switch doesnt work would this stop it from working?

Yes.

The switches are available in the Help section at the auto parts store.

Hmm ok, will i have a pair in the mail on the way to me. So I guess i'll test that out when they get here.

I'm experiencing this now, my post is a few posts below yours. Can you lock and unlock both locks manually with your key? I cannot do either on the driver's door (can with the lock stem inside the car) and I can only unlock the passenger door with the key but not lock it. (cannot lock or unlock passenger door with the lock stem inside the car) Pretty phucked up huh?
