ive got a performer eps with a 1in HVH spacer, drop base air cleaner and a demon 750 with maybe a 1/2-3/4in. clearence between the top of the stud and underneath side of the hood. I used some clay measured a dozen times and it all worked out, I have a 77 with cowl hood, I dont know how much of a rise your hood has or if this setup will work out for you, even if it does not someone else may benefit from this post, hope this helps and good luck with what ever you decide.
