Default Hooker Side Exhaust Headers Port Problem.

Being the foolish person I am, I didn't pay attention to the header exhaust port shape when I ordered my ceramic coated headers from summit.

I was wondering if it makes a difference if they don't match up and if they don't is there anything I can do to make them work? I thought the only difference between the headers were the coating. I don't know what shape the of the exhaust ports are on my engine and will find out when I get the car back from the welders tomorrow.

I didn't see that the Stainless and Chrome had rounded exhaust ports and the ceramic and black paint are rectangular ported. Please advise me on what I can do if they don't match up if anything. Thanks.

Paul

Anybody? I know a lot of you guys have them... Anyone else run into this issue?

Edit: Sorry one of my friends came over to the house who has a Camaro, saw the headers sitting on the floor and told me he didn't think they would match up... so I got all worried. I don't think its an issue...

one easy way to tell is buy a cheap set of paper header gaskets stuff a rag or something into the exhaust ports and bolt the gasket to the head then if there is any paper blocking the port cut it out so they fit good to the head then take them off and lay it out on the header and see if there will be any sealing issues!!
I think unless you have aftermarket heads with a D shaped port or something they should be ok!

the square port hookers will fit most exhaust ports. if you got the 1 7/8" hookers more than likely they will be larger than the ports on your heads. i had d ports and they fit.. i now have the afr 195's and the ports are smaller but it is ok to dump into a larger port from a smaller port on the exhaust side.
