Default Ecklers Engine Blue

Anyone know how well this matches up to the 80's engine blue? I bought some of the stuff they sell in Advance Auto and it was too light.

I used the Eckler's and ran out, so I bought some Dupli Color Blue at Auto Zone. The colors are pretty close to one another. The Eckler's paint covers much better (Martin-Seymour). The Dupli Color paint doesn't seem to have as much pigment. I was happy with the color match with the engine. I've seen two types of engine blue, one is GM blue and the other is called Chevrolet Blue. Never compared the two. The Eckler's has been on my engine for over one year and still looks great.

Hey thanks for the reply. I just went and looked at the stuff I bought. it is the Dupli-Color GM Blue. Maybe that's the problem. It's definitely a darker light blue than my original paint. I think I will give the martin seymour stuff a try.
