Battery Cables
Our cars are over 20 years old and the battery cables are hard to
change (positive) if you see no corosion on the ends are they
still good
anyone changed them and did it make a difference

A lot of times you will not see much corosion around the cablesat the ends. You will get a internal build up of corrosion internally inside the plastic coating around the cables. In my opinion if your car is starting normally with no problems more than likely your cables are alright. When they are internally coroded there will be a very high resistance and the car will probably crank much slower than normal.

Yea, I got to agree, if it works, don't fix it. Look the ends over real well especially on the Pos cable. The Neg is easy enough to change. If you want to test it, connect a voltmeter between the Pos terminal on the battery and the Battery lug on the starter and turn it over. With the voltmeter on the 2 volt scale, it should be well under 1 volt drop across the cable.
