When I turn on wipers at switch I get a clicking sound from the controller located in the spare tire jack compartment behind the passenger seat. I have just installed a new wiper motor, which I thought might be the problem. Any solutrions would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to get car safety checked in Texas so I can drive it.
I don't think there is a controller for the wiper behind the passenger seat. I know in the early C3s the alarm circuitry is in the compartment behind the passenger seat.
If you have a 68-72, there is a solenoid behind the dash that opens the wiper door. You can hear it click when you turn on the wipers.
Have you checked the **** under the dash (below the steering wheel). Turning the **** allows you to stop the wiper motor with the wiper arms up where you can change the blades. Turn the **** and then try the wiper again.
