I have a 69 coupe. The left side (drivers) upper door hinge is broken. Is this something that can be bolted on and off or is a weld/epoxy on deal? Does this front fender have to be removed to replace it?
The inside bolts are accessible under the dash pads for the upper hinges, and under the kick panels for the lowers. The door-side bolts require the removal of the door panel. The uppers are under a bolt on access panel, the lowers have an opening in the door metal under the panel.
You're gonna have to remove the upper and lower dash,..or at least I did. I don't see any other way to remove the four upper hinge bolts that attach to the birdcage.
Remove the dash panel and the access panel on the door. It's pretty self-explanatory how to remove/install the hinge...just three or four bolts on each side (I forget, it's been a while since I've pulled one).
Make sure the door is supported, they're rather heavy.
