I was listening to my latest cd called Hot Rod Classics and there is a Jan & Dean song, Dead man's curve. It says his stingray blew away the jag and showed it the six tail lights. Has any year of stingray had six tail lights? I thought there were always just the four: two brake and two back up, although on the early c2 it had the four brake.
The 1968 had four brake lights. Reverse lights were under the bumper, and I think square? Still doesn't qualify as six tail lights. 1963-66 I think had 4 tail lights, unless you ordered reverse lights, and then you got 2 brake and 2 reverse. 1967 had 4 brake lights and reverse lights above the license plate. I am not sure abour the manta ray, but I think both the C2 Mako and C3 Mako II had six?
In other words, no. No production corvette ever had six tail lights :)

Jan and Dean are referring to a Sting Ray. It was popular to add a third tail light to the 63-67s. The parts were cheap and you had the room on the rear panel. I've never seen three tail lights on a C3. No production Corvette ever had six. Four tops.
:)
Easy Mike and the others are right. A common "California" conversion. My 66 had them and they looked very original, until you pulled the light out and saw the somewhat rough cut of the fiberglass. I also remember the song too so that option had invaded music land too.
