Default Bair's Corvette

I took my 71 to Bairs yesterday for some suspension work. These guys are excellent. They spent 1 hour with me reviewing the scope of work they would recommend-while my car was on the lift. Also, I toured their shop and got an overview of all their refurbishing practices from sandblasting to finishing to bearing grades. These guys are serious suspension experts. It's hard to find people like this in this business. Left my car with them. It will be finished in a week. I'll keep you posted.

Yeah, those guys are amongst the "best in the business". I've bought many used parts out of their "attic", and they did the bearings on three out of four cars of mine. I live about 110mi away, so I just take them my parts to be rebuilt at the beginning of the week, and then return to pick them up Friday!!! :D

I agree with Paul completely on this. Very knowledgeable, great work, short turnaround times, lots of "neat" parts too. The people at Bair's have gone out of their way on several occasions to find "correct" items for my restoration projects.

Regards,

That will be one smooooth ridin' LT-1. Front/rear suspension rebuild, new ps slave set-up and rear-end rebuild. Throw in a ps rebuild and it will ride better than the day it left the factory. Not cheap-but I know it will be done right.

LT1man,

Your car is really nice. What a car but it was still in one piece. I got the grand tour of the place including the attic. Man could I lose a few bucks in that place. The best thing was that Brian gave me a few tips on how to NOT spend money. A good one was to turn the steering wheel to the right when storing the car. It keeps the power steering ram in the tube so it won't rust or create a grove in the shaft from the seal at the straight position. The frame they have from a 79 as the show model was unreal. Mine sure dos not look like that!
