Default Wiring Diagram questions

I've got a wiring diagram for my 1979 which is all layed out and is pretty awesome. What I'm trying to figure out, is under the dash, I pulled out the instrument cluster and out of the bulk of wires coming from the drivers side are a black and a grey wire which are cut and not being used. I'm trying to find out where they go and if they are supposed to be used. There are also a couple of plugs up above the fuse box on the drivers side that have nothing plugged in to them which I want to know what they are for.

I've never tried to read a wiring diagram and had a question. On it is a bulkhead connector, and then the fuse box. Where is the bulk head connector located? And is the fuse box listed the same that's under the drivers side dash? I know some cars have 2 different sets of fuses? Does my 79 have 2 different sets of fuses?

Black wires are generally ground.

Gray (you did not note a "stripe" on the wire) wires were used on posssible circuits:

circuit 8 - Instrument panel lights
circuit 48 - Tail lamp Headlamp switch , Directional signal
circuit 69 - Ground for low Coolant Module Controlled
circuit 91 - Windshield wiper - low
circuit 106 - Ammeter Battery
circuit 118 - Speaker Return, left front stereo
circuit 157 - Ground circuit - Switch controlled Body Interior lamps (e.g. Dome light)

May have missed some.

The fuse box is on the interior side of the bulkhead connector. The big wire bundle running out of the firewall is on the firewall side of the bulk connector.

Only one fuse box.

ADDED ADDED ADDED ADDED

Sorry, I missed several others.

circuit 186 - Vent control LR close
circuit 208 - Switch controlled ground (TCS)
circuit 214 - Right hand seat sensor
circuit 295 - Door Lock motor - lock
circuit XXX - Several Gray wires used by the later C3s with electronic engine controls.
