I posted a thread on this awhile back and it was about the turn signal, when i want to turn left or right and turn put the turn signal on that side brake lights go out. i was told to purchase new switch, i did. installed it and it was a bad part out of the box. so i ordered another from another vendor and installed it and one day later its doing the same thing again. i purchased the two from different vendors but when i looked at them, they look very similar. BIg question, what do i do? this is on a 68 vert. need some real advice on what i should do next. whats the next step. purchase a third from a third vendor or send them back or what????????? help
Here is a suggestion. You can reach under the dash and unplug the turn signal switch in the steering column from the car wiring. Now take one of your other two switches and just plug it into the vehicle harness. You can now test all three switches over a very short period of time. You can actuate the switches for right and left turns and you can actuate the hazard button on the switches.
It is very unlikely that all three switches are bad. You should be able to sort out if one switch is bad; or does the vehicle wiring, ground, bulb, etc cause all three switches to act the same way.
It is very unlikely that all three switches are bad.

FYI, I purchased two remanufactured switches and both were bad. I used a volt/ohm meter to ohm out the wiring and both had issues. And the issues were different on both of them. I have ordered a third switch from a different vendor and am waiting for it to be delivered. But I have a bad feeling that it too will be just as bad. My next option will be to see if I can take these switches apart and fix them.
BTW, I believe that the quality control from the manufacturer of these switches is non existant.
