During the many parts separated during the frame off, my ignition keys are missing. I moved once during the storage period, so who knows. Well if I have the ignition switch in my hand, whats the best way to get keys for it, or do I have to buy a new switch with keys?
I take it that you have a 1968 Vette with the ignition switch in the dash. Take it to a locksmith. He should be able to cut keys based on the lock itself. How did you get the switch out of the dash without the key?
Now I am thinking that maybe you have a 1969 Vette with the lock cylinder in the steering column head. (The ignition switch is on top of the steering column jacket, down under the dash.) It really helps to identify the year of your Vette. In either case, take the lock cylinder to a locksmith.
