need some more info for my resto of my '72 coupe. The rear deck vent drain tubes are in horrible shape and I have the replacements. While examining the site I noticed the rubber tubes come from the rear deck vents and then go through the outer wall and from there they are rivoted onto the wall with a metal housing. How do I remove these? Just drill out the rivots and then install the new hardware with the replacement parts? Screws not rivots work?

Thanks again,

Yes...just drill them out. As mentioned above, use stainless or aluminum (what I used) pop rivits to install the caps. I was able to reach my hand around to hold a backing washer on the rivit just long enough to get it to stay on within the first few pulls on the rivit gun.
I guess you could use a screw & nut...but make it stainless.
