I looked in my rearview and saw some rear window trim sticking out.
On closer inspection, the trim that keeps the window in place is shot.
Who has a good deal and what else will in need?
Bt that I mean clips, keepers or sealant? TIA
On your 74 (year is important to this question), the only thing holding the window in place is glue - not the trim. Sounds like a good excuse to swap to a pop-out window from a 68-72...
This is crazy!!!!!
I was cleaning my back glass and it felt loose so I took the trim off and it almost fell out!
I said "hell" so I cleaned the whole mess up and I dought the window goes back in perminent.
I'll just get some real thin weather strip and put it on the window to keep it fromn rattling and figure out 5 brackets to hold it in and to beable to pop it out real quik and be done with it.
What a good day for a vette ride for the 3rd time!!!!!
Don't know about your year. But on my 77, I needed to put in new rear glass. I had a glass shop cut the glass out of tempered glass, and then went to the Automotive paint store and bought the roll of 2-sided tacky type window roll (don't know the exact name for it), and just put it in myself.
