I have a 77 that's about ready for the paint shop and then some shows. One of the custom touches was to lower the whole thing a couple of inches. Now my problem is the true dual exhaust system as it runs under the real axles. Much of a bump and it scrapes the ground. It's a 2.5 inch round system. I would like to keep a system that ends at the rear of the car. Do I have options other than a custom-built system?
How about oval pipes? Do they change the sound? What about mufflers. Now I have what were called "baffles". Long pipes with dimples on the outside that emit a very loud crackle when I rev the engine. I would like something that crackles less and growls/roars more.
