I have used thinner and scotch brite pads to clean under coating up.
It is not fun.
I did notice that Eastwood sales an undercoating removal solution now.
It looks like it consists of 2 spray cans of some type of chemical.
never used it but looks interesting.

Anybody triied to remove MASS amounts of undercoating - in the windshield wiper well ??? If so - How'd ya do it ???
Believe it or not, that "undercoating" in the windshield wiper well was actually a sealant applied by the factory. It was applied rather heavily to seal the fiberglass and associated joints in an effort to keep water off of your lower legs and feet (along with all the assorted mechanical pieces under the dash :) ). As the sealant dries over time, it cracks and generally makes that area look less than appealing... Which I gather may be the reason that you are addressing this.
The sealant used was oversprayed first with body color and then again during the blackout operation. You may find that initial cleaning may go faster with a chemical paint stripper as a result of this. The sealant can be removed using a shop rag and 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover; a little slow going, but you WILL get all of it to come off. Just remember to reseal this area with a brushable seam sealer that is similar in appearance to what was there originally or you risk water leaks/damage.
