Looking for more power
So I have had my car (1980 Vette With a "385" fast burn 350 from GMPerformance) for almost 9 months now and I have done a little tinkering with it here and there most noteably with fixing all the little things the previous owner screwed up. The Motor is running good again now that I got it tuned up but I am wanting to make her a street/strip car. I am debating working on the interior and body or going for the transmission next (turbo 350 I think) I am wanting to put a higher converter back there and have the trans rebuilt (I can't even get on the track right now because of a leaky transmission) when they do the rebuild I am thinking of having a trans brake installed along with reversing the gear pattern. I am basically looking for advice on which direction to take this and personal opinions on what should be done. also does anyone know of any way to squeeze a few more horses out of the 385 fast burn motor that doesn't require pulling it apart. I am willing to do a cam but thats about as far apart as I want to take it right now.
